Behind the scenes in the kitchen, we were instantly hit with the utmost tempting sights and smells. A true pleasure to the senses, which most definitely built up our appetite. When filming @hellobakergirl in action preparing our food, our stomachs were rumbling. We were ready for a hearty full English breakfast.
We tried both the vegan and the meaty breakfast options from Stables Kitchen, which are both available all day. Also available on the menu are sandwiches, salads and even buttermilk pancakes for a yummy weekend treat. They also offer a range of hot drinks and amazing homemade cakes for a little sweet treat after visiting Burton Constable Hall. Afternoon tea is also available, which I will definitely be returning back to try out!
Firstly, we have the vegan brekkie. Complete with falafel and onion bhajis as a replacement for the usual breakfast meats. These are tasty alternatives, preferable to the typical ‘fake meat’ served with vegan breakfasts. The bhajis and falafel gave the breakfast a warm kick of spice, giving the typical English breakfast a unique plant based twist. The vegan breakfast also included; avocado, tomato, baked beans, mushroom, hash browns and thick-cut toast.
Secondly, is the meaty all day breakfast. This hearty option includes swaledale sausage, smoked back bacon, fried egg, black pudding, tomato, baked beans, hash browns and thick-cut toast. This one is a true classic, big portioned full English breakfast from Stables Kitchen.
These breakfasts are the perfect way to start the day. With large portions of homely food you really can’t go wrong here. The food at Stables Kitchen is made with lots of love and attention to flavour, a brilliant spot located in the beautiful grounds of Burton Constable Hall.
Stables Kitchen is worth a drive out even just to visit for food here! But it is also a great spot for something to eat and drink after a walk around the grounds or Halls. Definitely one to visit for a big breakfast.
